Movie Internet based Short Film Festival linking Film Producers, Jury Members and Audiences from around the World. CON-CAN Media Plaza launched its website in January 2005 and is now proud to present its first major event: The online Short Film Festival.
We aim to enable people around the world to share in exchange and appreciation of meaningful short film productions. Our distribution method allows us to cross language and border barriers so that the intense creativity of short films can be appreciated by everybody, everywhere.
Contestants from around the world are encouraged to submit film productions of up to twenty minutes in length. Thirty productions will be carefully selected, subtitled in both English and Japanese, and streamed for public viewing. Votes from the global audience will be combined with the evaluation of the jury, and ten productions will be nominated to go forward for final judgment by Internet conference. The jury will comprise globally acclaimed film producers and critics from around the world. Jury members are being carefully selected from various genres to ensure fair judgment of the wide range of productions expected. The results of the audience voting and the jury evaluation are to be made public on the website, and the Internet conference for the final round of selection will be shown to the public online. Contestants will be joined by a global audience in following the selection of the Grand Prix Award Winner in this landmark international Film Festival befitting of the broadband era.

Tamashii Awards: presented to two film productionsCash reward of US$3,000
Short films of up to 20 minutes in length, any languages and themes accepted
