Bournemouth Screen Academy, which combines the talents of Bournemouth Media School and the Arts Institute at Bournemouth, will be running a two-week Summer School targeted at 15 year olds in selected local schools. Young people will be invited to write and develop scripts in small groups under the guidance of the Academy's screenwriting students. They will learn to develop an idea and craft a script with characters, narrative and location in mind. And will get the chance to shoot their own group films during the Summer School, learning the skills of directing, sound, camera, lighting and editing again under the guidance of Academy students and tutors.

The Summer School will run between 12 and 26 August 2006 and those participating will live on the Academy campus during this time. All costs will be met by the Academy. There will be space for 30 young people to attend and schools are now being selected from the Academy's targeted lists. For more details please contact David Hanson.
