The four films which have been selected to be made during this year's Brief Encounters Short Film Festival through the Mini Masterpieces scheme have been revealed.
The scheme, now in its 3rd year, is funded by four UK film agencies which nominate prospective filmmakers from their region.
The selected films are:
- 'The Drop' by Richard Robinson and Paul Suchija (Northern Film and Media),
- 'Strategy' by Fiona Maher (North West Vision ),
- ‘Used' by Mehaul Desai (EM Media) and '
- The last six places I ever woke up' by Max Sobul (South West Screen).
The successful writers/directors will bring their own crew and actors to Bristol and will film their drama within the Watershed Media Centre, home of Brief Encounters.
Filming and editing will take place between 22 and 24 November and the completed films will be premiered on 26 November 2005 at the festival.
