Nick Darke, the playwright who died of cancer on Friday aged 56, was also a lobster fisherman and environmentalist who would trawl the beach on the North Cornish coast after a south-westerly gale and collect wreckage; his last work is a commissioned television film on this subject, The Wrecking Season.
