Nick Darke, the playwright who died of cancer o­n Friday aged 56, was also a lobster fisherman and environmentalist who would trawl the beach o­n the North Cornish coast after a south-westerly gale and collect wreckage; his last work is a commissioned television film o­n this subject, The Wrecking Season.
