Tide and Time Photographic/ Video/ Digital Commission Deadline for applications: 11 MarchTide and Time is a major two phase collaborative coastal project developed by four arts organisations in the South West - Take Art in Somerset, Villages in Action in Devon, The Works in Cornwall and Artsreach in Dorset. Phase 2 of Tide and Time will champion regionally based artists, both emerging and established who will work with local people, with a focus on targeting excluded groups, to explore the theme of change on coastal communities around the South West peninsula. Celebrating the coastal landscape of the region through the lives and experiences of residents and visitors this will comprise workshops, residencies, training, exhibitions and performances in eight specific parts of the region, Newlyn, Portland, Shaldon, Purbeck, Porlock, Minehead, Watchet and Hinkley Point. An exciting and key part of this major project now is to unite all the individual projects together. Tide and Time are looking for a regional artist(s) to create a photographic, video or digital commission capturing an overarching perspective of the South West coast and its communities. This will conclude in an end production, exhibition and/ or screening in Spring 2006 and form a major part of the Tide and Time Publication.
