Young Swindon filmmakers receive First Light fundingTwo films to be made by young filmmakers from Swindon have received funding from First Light, the UK Film Council’s young people’s filmmaking initiative. Pioneers tells the story of a young girl and boy who encounter famous figures from the past who encourage them to fight for their identity. The film will be made by 30 10 – 11 tear olds working with Mobile Media Club based in Swindon. Mobile Media Club will also make Transitions, a documentary about the differences between primary and secondary school. The documentary involves 20 10 -11 year olds. Mobile Media Club will receive an £18,000 award from First Light to make the two films. |
