"Media & Communication Arts". - Foundation Degree course writer requires input I am currently teaching at North Devon College and in conjunction with Plymouth University I am starting to write a new Foundation Degree with the working title "Media & Communication Arts". As someone who has worked in the design industry for 30 years, I am keen that this should be a really practical course providing employers with people qualified in the skills actually required. The principle of these Foundation Degrees is that the student studies for two years at their local college and then completes the BA at University. Though the students are entitled to take their final year anywhere, they are encouraged to complete it at the partner University, in our case Plymouth. Part of the remit of the Foundation Degree is strong links with local businesses. To that end I am keen to get input from businesses and other interested parties about the contents of the course and employment prospects locally when they finish.
