Young Peoples work to be screened at the Showcomotion Young People's Film Festival

Five core schools from the Creative Partnerships Barnsley, Doncaster & Rotherham region have been involved in creating films that are to be screened at the Showcomotion Young People's Film Festival.

Asman's Red Devils, Homemade, Bliss and My Homework Hell are four films that were part of the 4:3 initiative (4 films, 3 towns and 75 young people) made in partnership with C media Productions and Worsborough Common Primary School, Wickersley School and Sports College, Foulstone School and Edward Sheerian School respectively. The project was joint funded by Creative Partnerships BDR, Screen Yorkshire and Showcomotion.

Also showing is 'Windhill Shorts', a combination of animation, live action and mixed media shorts made by children from Windhill Primary School, Mexborough in partnership with C Media Productions, and funded by Creative Partnerships BDR.

If you are interested in visiting 'Showcomotion' festival then it runs between 30th June and 9th July at the Showroom Cinema, Sheffield. The BDR screenings will be o­n Wednesday 6th July from 6pm.
