Media jobs boost for Cornwall Media jobs boost for CornwallThere's great news for Cornwall's film-makers and screen industries with the news that they're set to benefit from major investment thanks to the European Regional Development Fund. Over the next 3 years, more than £1.8 million will be ploughed into the area to bolster industry growth and sustainability. Administered by Cornwall Film, partners in this project include South West Screen, the South West Regional Development Agency, Business Link Devon and Cornwall, Creative Kernow, UK Film Council, Cornwall Enterprise and Cornwall County Council. Forty five Cornish Media companies will be supported by the scheme, creating the equivalent of 174 full-time jobs and generating £6.9 million of additional turnover. The scheme will run over a period of 3 years. |
