North West Vision is one of nine regional screen agencies that form part
of Screen England and is the media development agency for the North West region
of the UK, incorporating Cheshire, Cumbria, Greater Manchester, Lancashire
and Merseyside. Founded in 2002, it replaces a number of other local agencies
and is funded by the UK Film Council, the North West Development Agency and
a number of local authorities.
North West Vision's aim is to support enjoyment and understanding of the media
as much as it is to encourage innovative production, attract location shoots
and build a sustainable and dynamic media sector in the North West.
Using lottery money, it provides support for the production and development
of feature films, animation, children's films and TV programmes, documentaries,
first features and graduation films, shorts and TV drama.
Applicant companies must be based in the North West of England.
Maximum aid levels:
£20,000 (project development; digital and new technology projects;
professional development)
£10,000 (short film production)
