Channel Controller

This is a unique development opportunity for a person who is passionate about furthering their career in the field of future broadcast and communications and who is passionate about allowing young people to develop and have a voice through digital media.

The Channel Controller will develop and direct a new broadband ‘Youth channel’, in collaboration with groups of young people from across Cornwall, and in collaboration with commercial and development organisations such as Twofour, Creative Partnerships, Cornwall Film and South West Screen. As this is a developmental role, you will be expected to have some knowledge and a keen interest in the sector, however you are not expected to have experience - and as such will work closely with a mentor and specialists in the field of Broadband TV production. This post would suit someone in the early stages of their career and who wishes to gain experience in the exciting fast moving world of digital media.

The role is:

• Full time
• With flexible working hours - with some evening and occasional
  weekend work
• For 1 year (with possibility for extension if successful in creating a
  sustainable model)
• Salary. Circa £12,000

The postholder must have a car and a clean driving license
