We are currently casting for the digital fantasy film ‘Tap, Tap, Tap…’, winner of the Govynn Kernewek Award at the 2005 Cornwall Film Festival. Filming has been pencilled in for the 5th to the 10th of May.

‘Tap, Tap, Tap…’ is a  fantasy/ drama in the Cornish language following the adventure of a young boy ‘Derry’ as he is literally pulled into a mythical world of Cornish folklore whilst he struggles with family traumas in the ‘real world’.
Knowledge of the Cornish language is not essential as voice coaching will be provided.

We are currently looking to cast:

Derry: A confused 10 year old boy torn between his a demanding and callous father, and a kind grandmother.
Ewan: A resentful widowed single father raising 10 year old son. Ewan is a forgettable man of around 45 years of age.
Melwyn: A kind and emotionally strong grandmother trying to maintain a failing relationship with her widowed son in law, and her grandson.
Piskie: A mischievous tall and willowy figure of a man, whose movements speak as loud as his words.
Narrator: This role is a voice over only. We are looking for a rich old male voice to provide a fairy tale theme to the film.

The film is approx 10 minutes long and will be shot on DV (with the possibility of HD).
Filming has been pencilled in for the fifth to the tenth of May and will take place at various locations around Cornwall. We will cover expenses (food, transport etc), as we are working to a very tight budget. We are primarily seeking experienced actors based within Cornwall.

This is a unique opportunity to work on an award winning Cornish language film that will premiere at the 2006 Cornwall Film Festival.

Casting will take place on Wednesday 12th April at 2 – 4p.m. at the Media Centre, University College Falmouth, Tremough Campus, Penryn.
