4South West seeks TV production companies to lead new scheme

Channel 4, South West Screen and the South West Regional Development Agency, have launched 4South West, an initiative which aims to bring large and small production companies together to generate new ideas and programmes. The initiative will invest up to £100,000 per company in a number of 'lead' companies in the region who will work with smaller businesses to generate joint pitches and share business knowledge and expertise.

4South West is currently looking for up to three 'lead' companies to take part in the initiative. To become a 'lead' company you must be an existing member of o­ne of the four media cluster groups based in Bournemouth, Bristol, Gloucester and Plymouth. Your company must have a turnover of less than £10 million and not be owned by broadcasters or major indies. You will need to have a clear business case for this investment with a primary focus o­n ambitions to do something new. And finally you must have the resources, experience and expertise to be able to usefully contribute to this scheme.
