PD150 sound is pleased to announce a one-day intensive training course focusing on getting the best sound on a DV shoot. It is intended as both an introduction to sound as a medium and to the practical aspects of being a location sound recordist over the day we will cover sound production practice, with a broad theoretical base, focusing on the 'single system' of recording direct to camera. Course Overview - Introduction to basic sound physics and engineering, wave mechanics, engineering standards, connectors, line-up tones, balanced cables, and workflow routes.

- Digital audio: sampling, formats, and post-production issues
- Rigging & operating sound on the Sony PD150 (can also cover the Canon XL1 and DSR300 on request)
