As a trainee you’ll have a breadth of opportunity and experience at the beginning of your career.
Trainees are recruited according to their talent, potential and passion to achieve great things with us, rather than their formal academic backgrounds.
Trainees are a diverse mix of people and come from the heart of our various communities via targeted recruitment campaigns.
Our trainees are the benchmark for the industry - by the end of the training period, you will be able to compete for jobs in your chosen field because you’ll have:

- Received high quality, formal skills training from industry leaders as well as a range of innovative and varied development opportunities
- Followed a structured personal development plan with clearly defined learning objectives and regular appraisals
- Been assigned a mentor to ensure you reach your full potential
- Had access to industry leaders and key professionals
- Worked and networked with a range of professionals right across the BBC
