(CMR) is a community facility for video and film production.

It is a membership-based charity that may be joined by anybody who is interested in making film and video in Cornwall, both those with experience and those wishing to learn.

CMR owns its own building and equipment. Membership skill, expertise, enthusiasm and commitment is the basis for the organisation and simple fact that it is open to all to join, benefit and learn.

Members have access to CMR’s equipment that includes video and film cameras, linear and non-linear edit facilities, etc, which they can hire.

Membership costs £20 waged and £12 unwaged per annum.

Members who work for CMR qualify for low/no cost hire of equipment (depending o­n availability)

In the past, CMR has been involved in a wide range of local film projects and has been involved with cultural production o­n Cornish contemporary and historical matters.

Currently, CMR is in the process of expansion. The first edition of our new and improved newsletter will be published soon, we are organising a regular screening event to be held in the Redruth area, and we are also widening our remit to include a broader range of training packages.
