Film London

Taking over from a variety of agencies including the London Film Commission and the London Film and Video Development Agency, Film London is the new strategic agency for all forms of film and audiovisual work in the capital. It is a national and local initiative, funded by the UK Film Council, the London Mayor's Office and training organisation Skillset.
Its aims are to support film and media production, exhibition, education, economic and industrial development across the capital, and to enhance London's status as a world-class film location. Additionally, it supports a number of cultural initiatives, including the London Film Festival.
Film London also administers the London Production Fund (currently frozen following the merger with Granada of its chief supporter Carlton Television), which supports the production of short films.
At present, Film London does not support production, but there are rumours of a more extensive fund which may in future provide support for larger and bigger-budgeted productions.
