Digital Video Editing
The objective of this course is to learn how to shoot/edit and produce a short digital film using digital technologies and computer editing. Within this context the course aims to teach students about video camera techniques and the technology with a focus on a more creative application
of shooting video. As well as the above the use of creative Sound and Music will also be explored. Technical as well as creative emphasis will be equally explored as the course aims to be both educational and productive with an emphasis on a relaxed approach to achieve a Ncfe qualification.
The course is based on 5 UNITS and is a continual assessment project based course the student working on a individual project throughout the course resulting in a finalised dvd of their work along with the above
The aim of placing short films into festivals and possible broadcasts will be part of the objective (Subject to suitability)
This course aims for the student to achieve an Ncfe qualification.
Adi Newton the course tutor who's Film / Video work has been exhibited at THE I C A London, Sophia Reiner Museum of Modern Art Madrid, Arts Futura along side works by Brian Eno, Peter Gabriel, Industrial light & Magic, Museum of Contempary Art Florence, ARS Electronica symposium on Virtual Reality and the V+A London .
