It's a black comedy called "Animals" about three people, all with disastrous love lives, that have a wedding to go to... and one of them is the bride. Think Richard Curtis britflick but without the rose-tinted glasses. And unlike other feature films shot down here this isn't just some London production company coming down the motorway to shoot some pretty location shots. No, no, no. This a Cornish feature film in every sense of the word. A film made in Cornwall, by Cornish filmmakers, with the help of the Cornish people.

With a planned November shoot the budget currently stands at an estimated £150,000, with help coming from Cornwall Film and interest coming from both filmmakers and actors from all over the world This is a exciting time and I'm looking to open the film up to everyone in Cornwall who wants to be involved. So any actors out there who are after their first feature credits, filmmakers looking to develop their talents, or even just individuals who have got a business or property they think would be a great location for a film should get in touch with us.
This is also a chance for anyone out there who has ever wanted their slice of the Hollywood dream to take it with the chance to invest in a film for less than a new TV or second-hand car. That's right. Any businesses, entrepreneurs or people looking for that perfect Christmas present can buy shares in this production. Not only will they have the chance to see a return on their investment but they will also see their name in the credits, an opportunity to visit the set and tickets to the premier of the film. This is also a great opportunity for businesses in Cornwall, with plans to unleash this movie on the international film circuit and to sell the TV and DVD rights globally. Auditions are taking place on the 29th & 30th July at the Regal Cinema in Redruth. Anyone wanting to attend are advised to get in touch first. Actors are asked to send (either via post or email) a copy of their CV and a headshot. Filmmakers are asked to to email their CV's. We are hoping to work with Cornwall Film as part of their Target Talent scheme to develop both performing and filmmaking talent in Cornwall.
