Cornwall Film Festival 2006 launches with a new website, a new venue, and the return of a familiar face.
We announce a call for entries to the 2006 Cornwall Film Festival, one of the most anticipated events in the Cornish Arts and Leisure Calendar. Now entering its fifth year, Cornwall Film Festival is pleased to welcome back Laura Hardman as Festival Director. Laura, who directed the festival in 2004, has returned fresh faced from maternity leave and full of ideas to make this years festival the best yet.
This years festival will take place from 16th to 19th November at a variety of locations across Falmouth including the Princess Pavilion, National Maritime Museum Cornwall and University College Falmouth. The programme will include the best of Cornish drama, documentary and animation, feature films, student films, artistic moving image and surf skate screenings, an extended Young Persons Film Festival organised for young people by young people, and a wide variety of seminars, workshops and discussions about film making and the film making industry.
The closing date for film applications is 15th August, and all selected films will be entered into the critically acclaimed Delabole Slate Audience Choice Award, for best film in the festival and best student film.
