Free training for young people who want to work in Television

Television and Young People (TVYP) is an annual training and development scheme open to 18-21 year olds, which provides the opportunity to work with the creative teams behind some of the top TV shows, from Big Brother to Hollyoaks, inspiring young people to get a career in the television industry.  Every year, 150 lucky delegates are selected to attend a free five day course that teaches you everything you need to know about getting into TV. The training includes masterclasses, workshops, careers talks and social events and takes place alongside MediaGuardian Edinburgh International Television Festival, from 24 - 28 August 2006.  All you pay for is your travel to and from Edinburgh and all other expenses will be covered.

Applications are now open to all young people aged 18-21 years old who want to break into the world of TV. You don't have to be on a media course or have a specific background in TV - you just have to be passionate about it and have lots of ideas.

For further information and an application form please or email lindatvyp@yahoo.co.uk or apply online. The closing date for entries is 5 May 2006.
