Matt Richards is a highly experienced Director, Producer and Writer with over fourteen years in the broadcast industry and hundreds of credits for the terrestrial broadcasters BBC1, BBC2, ITV and Channel 4 as well as satellite broadcasters such as Discovery, The History Channel and UKTV.
Although primarily known for his historical films, he has worked on a varied range of programming; from BAFTA-winning documentary series such as Wife Swap to blue-chip historical documentaries such as The Gold Plane, from lifestyle and makeover series such as Front Of House to long-running daytime shows such as Collector's Lot, from popular cookery programmes such as Rick Stein's Taste Of The Sea to established history programming such as Time Team.

He has also directed a number of corporate productions for a wide range of clients and in 1996 won a Royal Television Society Award for one such production.
In addition he has written and directed the stage play The Sea starring Joss Ackland, Jack Shepherd and Simon Williams and performed to sell-out crowds and critical acclaim in 2003 at The Minack Theatre.
He is due to start filming Peace & Quiet, a black comedy he has written and which will star John Hannah and Caroline Langrishe in 2006.
In his spare time, Matt is studying at the prestigious Bournemouth University Screen Academy for an MA in Screenwriting.
