Mark David Hatwood - Music and Editing

Having been in the music industry for over 25 years, Mark has spent the last ten years in Germany working for some of the top names in TV, Film and Pop. During that time, Mark also ran his own Sound Design / Editing studio winning awards for his Radio Production and dubbing some of Germany’s Films, TV programmes and Advertising.

Music Work History

• 1977-82 Drummer for bands in Bristol and Coventry receiving national acclaim for singles and albums with ‘Squad’ and ‘Stereo Models’
• 1982-91 Session Drummer/Tour manager/Musical Arranger for international chart acts such as; MUD, JOHNNY HATES JAZZ, THE NEW SEEKERS,...etc
• 1987-91 Songwriter/Guitarist and founder member of ‘RED HOT RED’ signed with Tony Stratton Smith (Genesis) to Charisma.
• 1991-1993 Solo singer songwriter project produced in Munich by HARALD FALTERMEYER, (Top Gun, Beverly Hills Cop) and co-wrier with Harald for many in-house pop and advertising projects.
• 1993-2000 In house writer for BMG for bands such as; ATC, WEATHER GIRLS, CULTURE BEAT, SANDRA SCHWARTZHAUPT (Axel Schultz world title theme)..etc
• 1996-2000 Writer/Producer with Rainer Oleak for Olliwood Productions o­n projects including; WERNESGRÜNER ADVERTISING THEME ‘DIE LEGENDE LIEBT‘, ‘STOP o­nE MINUTE’ for ‘HEAVEN SCENT’
• 2000 - 2004 Writing themes and incidental music for Hollywood film production: ‘The New Adventures of Pinocchio’, Celebrated German Cinema film: ‘Wie feuer und Flamme’ and various German T.V. series including: In Name des Gesetzes, Hallo Robbie and  Zestörte Träume.
• 2003 – 2004 Music and sound FX for internet advertising and games including: Mentos and Mobilcom’s innovative 2003 and 2004 o­nline advents calendars.

Producer / Dubber

• 1991-2000 Studio producer/engineer for various professional studios world-wide.
• 1995-97 Produced ‘POP HISTORY DAY BY DAY’ New York awards winning European syndicated radio show for Berlins o­n AIR SYNDICATION.
• 1997-99 Produced ‘POP LEGENDS’ for o­n AIR SYNDICATION winning the NIEDER-SÄCHSICHE HÖRFUNK AWARD in 1998 and a GOLD AWARD in the NEW YORK FESTIVAL AWARDS 1999. Also produced three special shows for JAZZ RADIO winning a GOLD and two SILVER awards in the NEW YORK FESTIVAL AWARDS 1999.
• 2000 Sound Production for SAT 1’s ‘ECHT WAHR’ for GRB ENTERTAINMENT , Freelancer for various projects at VCC Entertainment.
• 2001 - 2004 Sound Editing/Design for Senator Cinema film ‘Girl‘ starring Kathia Riemann & Olli P – 5 TV films for ‚Ziegler Film’ –  4 TV movies for ARD & ZDF – Series 1 & 2 ‘Bewegte Männer’ for SAT 1, Produced by Constantine Film/ Moovie Ents. Many various episodes for individual shows for Germany T.V. including: ‚Berlin, Berlin‘,‚Für alle Fälle Stefanie‘, ‚Echt Wahr!’ ‚Der Cleverer’ etc.
