Submit your film to Ireland's first ever short film festival
Sligo Short Digital Film Festival will take place between 16-18 September 2005 and will celebrate the art of the digital film. The festival is looking for films shot on digital camera which are between 1 and 35 minutes in length. There are five categories: fiction, documentary, animation, experimental, amateur. Nokia Shorts 2005 launched
Nokia Shorts, now in its third year, is a unique competition which encourages the development of short films designed specifically to be played on mobile devices. This year's scheme is being championed by director Shane Meadows (Dead Man's Shoes) who will be inspiring potential entrants with his own 15 second film made using the Nokia N90.

Berlin Inter Film Festival – Call for Entries

This year, the International Short Film Festival ‘interfilm’ takes place for the 21st time, a veritable meeting place for the international short film and video scenes. More than 400 short films and videos will be shown during the six days of the festival and an estimated 100 films will be nominated to compete in the international competition.

Nisi Masa European script writing competition
This year's Nisi Masa European script writing competition is based around the theme of silence - all scripts submitted must be closely connected to this theme. The competition is open to writers aged between 18 & 28 years and the three best scripts will be awarded with production grants. The winner will receive a grant worth 15700 Euros and the two runners up will receive 4700 Euros. All entries must be submitted by the deadline of 31 July 2005.
Vacancy for a Media Lecturer at Cirencester College
Cirencester College require a Media Lecturer to work with groups of students on BTEC National Diploma and AS Media programmes and on video production and media analysis units. The post will start in September and will be for two days per week. Applicants should have video production experience, awareness of industry practices and experience/qualifications in training or working with groups.

Have your film included in the Film UK Guide at the Edinburgh Film Festival for free!
The Film UK Guide to British Film 2005 lists all British fictional features and short films which have been produced during the last year. The directory will be available to industry professionals worldwide and all delegates attending the Edinburgh Film Festival 2005.
If your film is British, live action, fiction and was produced professionally between 31 July 2004 and 31 July 2005 it can be included in the guide at no cost to you. For further information please see the 'professionals' section of the Edinburgh Film Festival website. The deadline for submissions is 30 June.
