The ‘Screen Beats’ Project
This project will be instigating six new after-school film clubs throughout the region this autumn offering some of the young people involved their first ever taste of film-making, right from storyboarding ideas, through pre-production to shooting and editing, on-location shoots, and finally screening and distribution. Throughout the autumn the students will be working with some top industry professionals learning the secrets of the trade, before their completed short films get first screening at the CFF and are also ‘streamed’ online from the dShed website. The participating film clubs and filmmakers will also be developing a communication network, to share ideas and provide peer support.
