Call for entries for Black and Asian Film Festival

The Bristol Black and Asian Film Festival will take place in mid October 2005 and we are looking for four short films by black or Asian filmmakers to be included in a shorts package. The films can be any of the following genres: drama, documentary, animation, artists' films and cross artform.

If your film includes a soundtrack which is not original (ie composed and recorded by yourself) you must obtain clearance for use. Information o­n how to do this can be found o­n www.mpcs.co.uk/. You will also need to warrant that you are legally entitled to grant a licence for the screening of the work during the festival and that you have obtained the necessary copyright and intellectual property rights to do so.

Please send a VHS or DVD copy of the film with a short synopsis to South West Screen (address at the bottom of this e-mail).  Please note that submissions will not be returned.

Closing date for submissions is 12 noon Friday 29 July.
