Field - A Creative Lab Opportunity for Arts Practitioners in Somerset and the South West
Fields: new ways of defining interdisciplinary practice in the arts.
Mind Fields: discovering places that are not sealed to unlock creativity
"Photographs are like mnemonic fields. We apprehend what a photograph depicts, but it constantly whispers of absence - something that needs to be filled in." John Berger.
Field seeks to find ways of filling in those absences. It represents a unique call-out to the region's arts practitioners:
- What do we care about?
- What makes us make art?
- What are the borders of performance?
- Do we want to engage?
- Do we need to know one another?
The Field week-end aims to explore ways of freeing our minds to discover different perspectives as we look for new fields in which to dream and play.
