The Gloucestershire Media Group (The GMG) was formed in 2003 by South West Screen, in conjunction with Cheltenham Film Studios, to support the development, integration, and expansion of media companies, individuals and activity in Gloucestershire. At present our main activities include organising monthly networking events, this website, and our e-bulletin, but over the coming months we will be launching a number of initiatives to really make an impact o­n the success of the media industry locally:

• Networking events and collaboration initiation
• Training and development opportunities (Media and business related)
• Inward and outward promotion of members services
• Mentoring scheme for new entrants and freelancers
• Business mentoring for high growth companies
• Financial / funding / Venture Capital advisory scheme
• Dissemination of key market intelligence and information

The GMG is a not for profit membership organisation managed by a voluntary Steering Group made up of 14 GMG members who represent the breadth of the local industry chaired by Greg Browning of Silicon 19 Media, and co-orientated o­n a daily basis by Emma Heathcote-James who is based in the GMG office at Cheltenham Film Studios.
