Two weeks of work-in-progress showings. During Transition each artist involved has a three-day period in which to experiment and work with a new piece of work. Transition has proved to be an exciting and innovative project and invaluable to the artists involved, as they are able to use the gallery in an informal way to try out new ideas. As well as painting, photography and sculpture, Transition is ideally suited for developing installation, video and live art. Included in Transition 5 will be deconstructed western movies, legendary ballroom dancers, the link between tanks and tablecloths and a Tokyo-Kyoto road trip.
