Thursday 7th April 2005, 8pm and 10pm Well it’s hard to believe, but this month marks roughcut’s 2 year birthday! That’s right, for 24 whole months we’ve been bringing you the best short films and brightest new directors we could find...so everyone at o-region would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support over the last 2 years. roughcut wouldn’t be what it is without you! We hope you’ll continue supporting us over the coming months. Which brings us to this month’s programme. A few hardcore roughcut fans might remember way back in 2003 at the first ever roughcut we showed a film by a young man called Paul Barritt...his films are certainly hard to forget! To mark our 2 year birthday we’ve got Barritt’s brand new film, a Victorian murder mystery / psychotropic trip-out called THE EGG (see this month’s poster)... We’ve also got the latest collaboration between Steve Tanner, Morgan Lowndes and Kneehigh Theatre – a specially-commissioned documentary recording Kneehigh’s tour to China with the Red Shoes a couple of years ago. As usual we’ll also have a selection of other exciting new shorts to enjoy. The venue as always is Bar 200, 9 River Street, Truro, two shows at 8pm and 10pm.
