Fri 25, Sun 27, Tues 29, Thur 31 March 18.00 Sat 26, Mon 28, Wed 30 March 20.30 A trio of amateur porn filmmakers hole-up in the director's flat to make a film and generally abuse each other while the director's painfully withdrawn son hides in his room. Occasionally funny and utterly disturbing, it is full of images we really do not want to see - cross-cut images from surgical operations as well as sexually explicit scenes - and can largely be seen as a rage against much of modern western culture and the human capacity for inflicting damage upon ourselves and each other. Don't make the mistake of thinking this film is like anything else Moodysson has made (Show Me Love, Together, Lilya 4 Ever), he has strayed into much darker territory and it is definitely, definitely not for the squeamish. |
