Wednesday 14th December 2005 - Acorn, Parade Street, Penzance The film festival kicked off in September 2005 in venues across central London and was Soho's largest ever admission free independent short film festival, screening 375 films over five days in three different venues. It is also the UK's largest film festival of its kind. We hope to generate the same buzz and excitement that existed during the screenings in London, which were nearly always attended to maximum capacity. The aim of the festival is to introduce new audiences to the world of short film while inspiring new filmmakers and showcasing the talent of emerging and established filmmakers alike. We're using large and small venues to screen the films, from high capacity venues such as the Queen's Film Theatre in Belfast to cosy, intimate venues such as the Brass Monkey Bar in Edinburgh. Please visit www.supershorts.org.uk for details of the tour where you can access a special page (aptly named 'Tour') with all the information The tour is just one of many activities Talent Circle is undertaking to boost UK independent filmmaking - and that includes actors and production staff. With the free-to-view streaming film service and the NEW Talent Circle launching soon we hope you enjoy the expansion of Talent Circle over the coming months. |
